Research

Glucose 6 Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency (G6PD) & Alzheimer's

G6PD Enzyme Deficiency is highly prevalent in 10% of African American Males, and slightly less prevalent in others of Mediterranean, & Asian descent. Sickle Cell Trait is a similar genetic disorder highly prevalent in 7-9% of African Americans as well. These are just 2 health disparities that remain under reported, under studied, and under treated because of lack of awareness (Gilbert et al, 2016). Clinically significant correlations with G6PD and Alzheimer’s do exist but Replication in Multiple Large-Scale Peer Reviewed Studies, and/or Prospective Studies displaying Biological Plausibility and Clinical Utility need to be published for the correlations between G6PD and Alzheimer's to be widely accepted as clinically significant facts in the medical community. Cortez Training Center is seeking funding for its primary mission but also to raise awareness of these conditions and support research in these areas. Empowering individuals to discover genetic disorders, allergens, or ailments has the potential to illicit groundbreaking research, treatments, & cures.

CTC Holistic Therapy Performance

After an individual receives their initial HFA, Education, Resources, and Services from the CTC, periodic HFA's & Subjective Pain & Stress Data will be collected Analyzed & Reported as peer reviewed scholarly research. These studies will hopefully show a significant correlation and effectiveness between the CTC Methodology of holistic health & fitness as a complementary therapy and reduction of pain, and stress, and positive outcomes in body composition, balance, posture, gait, mobility, flexibility, muscular strength & endurance, VO2Max, and overall improvement in body systems performance (Circulatory, Lymphatic, Respiratory, Integumentary, Endocrine, Gastrointestinal (digestive), Urinary (excretory), Musculoskeletal, Nervous, Reproductive, and Immune systems).
